Notes on battery disposal
 
In connection with the distribution of batteries or with the supply of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to point out the following:
 
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
 
You can have old batteries that we have run as new batteries in the assortment or led to either return to us at your own expense or return to our mail order (shipping address). Alternatively, you can dispense batteries to the local collection points.
 
They are legally obliged to return used batteries as the end user for the batteries to be recycled or properly disposed of.
 
Old batteries can contain pollutants that can damage the environment or their health if not properly stored or disposal. Batteries also contain important raw materials, such as z.B. Iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be utilized.
 
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
 
The symbol of the crossed garbage bin means that the battery must not be given to household waste.
 
For batteries containing a certain mass of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following additives are pointed out under the symbol with the crossed-out garbage bin on the respective pollutants:
 
PB = battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead
CD = battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent CADMIUM
HG = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
